Responsibilities

The Restaurant Manager will support the General Manager in overall restaurant operations, execution, management of staff, controllable profit plan achievement, guest count growth, and sales building activities. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and interpreting financial and operational reports, analyzing data, and developing solutions to ensure operating goals are achieved
  • Assisting the General Manager by overseeing assigned shifts, monitoring brand standards execution and adherence by directing hourly staff to achieve guest service standards in a clean and pleasant environment
  • Developing and coaching hourly employees on brand standards, internal policies and procedures, and other guest-focused programs to exceed guest service standards
  • Working with the General Manager to attract, hire, onboard, and retain the best hourly talent
  • Maintaining compliance with Denny's Brand Standards, including all provincial, local, and federal regulations
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to guest satisfaction and Denny's Core Values when interacting with others
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry; leadership/operations experience strongly preferred
  • Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing
  • Agility to interpret and analyze financial statements
  • Team player with excellent guest service and people skills
  • Self-motivation, organization, and ability to multitask effectively
  • Licensed to operate an automobile without restrictions and reliable transportation to meet banking obligations
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada
