Glazing Estimator

Our partner, The Atlantic Group of Companies, is currently seeking a professional and personable Glazing Estimator to join their Dartmouth branch. This is an exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced glazing or construction estimation professional to contribute to high-quality building envelope projects across the region.

OVERVIEW

As the Glazing Estimator, you will play a key role in analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and developing competitive bid proposals for industrial, commercial, and institutional glazing projects. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will collaborate closely with clients, project foremen, and internal teams to ensure estimates are precise, timely, and aligned with project needs.

This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in glazing estimation—preferably on large-scale projects—who thrives in a detail-oriented, collaborative environment and values long-term growth within an established, reputable company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and scope documents to understand project requirements
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for glazing projects, including materials, labour, and installation needs
- Develop and present detailed bid proposals to commercial clients
- Conduct site visits to confirm measurements, assess conditions, and gather required information
- Collaborate with the Branch Manager, Project Foremen, and internal teams to support planning and material procurement
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing clear communication and timely responses
- Stay current with glazing systems, materials, technologies, and industry standards to ensure precise and competitive estimating

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Post-secondary education in a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in Glazing Estimation (large-scale commercial preferred)
- Strong knowledge of glazing materials, building envelope systems, and construction processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and clear communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean Driving Abstract required
- Knowledge of proper PPE use and fall protection equipment
- Ability to travel to job sites and off-site locations as necessary
