Position Summary

Responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to transport freight between designated locations across Ontario, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. Key duties include adhering to all MTO regulations and company safety standards, performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and properly securing cargo for transport. Maintains accurate delivery records and ensures freight reaches its destination on schedule.

Fulltime – Monday to Friday, Occasional Saturdays as well (Morning and Night Shifts Available)

What you will do

- Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all MTO and company safety regulations.

- Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.

- Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.

- Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.

- Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.

What You’ll Bring

- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience required

- International driving experience will be considered

- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class AZ or Class 1

- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs

- Primarily responsible for highway routes across Ontario

- Complete and manage all required shipping documentation

- Adhere to all applicable MTO regulations and compliance standards

- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo as per company and legal requirements

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date travel logs and trip records

- Transport cargo safely and efficiently to assigned destinations

- Perform routine vehicle safety checks before and after each trip

- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
