Job Title: Senior / Quantity Surveyor (M&E)

About the Role
We are representing a premier international cost consultancy seeking a skilled M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Toronto or Vancouver. You will act as a commercial lead, providing specialist Mechanical and Electrical cost planning, procurement advice, and post-contract management across high-profile real estate and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Contract Cost Planning: Prepare detailed M&E cost plans, feasibility estimates, and quantity take-offs from concept design through tender package preparation.
- Tender & Procurement: Evaluate subcontractor M&E bids, perform value engineering, and lead commercial negotiations.
- Post-Contract Administration: Assess monthly progress draws, review and negotiate M&E variation requests/change orders, and settle final accounts.
- Advisory & Benchmarking: Provide strategic advice to clients, architects, and engineering teams on M&E cost drivers, market trends, and risk management. Requirements

Experience:
5+ years of Quantity Surveying experience with a dedicated focus on Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services.
- Chartership: MRICS or PQS (CIQS) designation strongly preferred.

Education:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Services Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with estimating software (e.g., CostX) and strong familiarity with Canadian building standards and M&E market rates. What’s Offered
