We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at The Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Center. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential medical care in a secure environment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive health services for individuals in custody. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Key Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Conduct nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress. Collaborate with RNs, NPs, physicians, mental health professionals, social workers, and security staff to deliver integrated care. Respond promptly to medical emergencies and follow established protocols. Promote health education and preventive care within the correctional setting Connect Care Correctional Experience
