Physiotherapist, Development and Rehabilitation

POSITION SUMMARY:
Our client is one of the few stand-alone, global leaders in Pediatric Health, with over 400 staff and Physicians dedicated to helping children and youth live their best lives. They are currently seeking a Physiotherapist, Development & Rehabilitation.
- This position involves both inpatient and outpatient work. During peak season, the role will support the acute inpatient units; during non-peak seasons, the focus will be on outpatients.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, patients, families, and inter-professional teams.
- Provide clinical services including assessment, intervention, and consultation for inpatients with cardio-respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic conditions.
- Communicate relevant information effectively with the healthcare team, schools, and community agencies to plan, implement, and review the patient’s care program.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices.
- Collaborate with the physiotherapy team to prioritize and manage workload.
- Participate in supervising students and support personnel, as well as in teaching and research activities.
- Represent Physiotherapy or Development & Rehabilitation on committees.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
- Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (Essential)
- Minimum of two years of experience in pediatrics (Preferred)
- Inpatient hospital experience (Preferred)
- Advanced training in orthopedics, neuro-developmental, cardiorespiratory, or other specialized techniques (Preferred)
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written (Essential)
- Ability to work effectively in an inter-professional environment (Essential)
- Excellent interpersonal skills (Essential)
- Bilingualism in English and French (Preferred)
