Physiotherapist, Development and Rehabilitation

POSITION SUMMARY: Our client is one of the few stand-alone, global leaders in Pediatric Health, with over 400 staff and Physicians dedicated to helping children and youth live their best lives. They are currently seeking a Physiotherapist, Development & Rehabilitation. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient work. During peak season, the role will support the acute inpatient units; during non-peak seasons, the focus will be on outpatients. Work collaboratively with physicians, patients, families, and inter-professional teams. Provide clinical services including assessment, intervention, and consultation for inpatients with cardio-respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic conditions. Communicate relevant information effectively with the healthcare team, schools, and community agencies to plan, implement, and review the patient’s care program. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices. Collaborate with the physiotherapy team to prioritize and manage workload. Participate in supervising students and support personnel, as well as in teaching and research activities. Represent Physiotherapy or Development & Rehabilitation on committees. Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential) Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (Essential) Minimum of two years of experience in pediatrics (Preferred) Inpatient hospital experience (Preferred) Advanced training in orthopedics, neuro-developmental, cardiorespiratory, or other specialized techniques (Preferred) Effective communication skills, both oral and written (Essential) Ability to work effectively in an inter-professional environment (Essential) Excellent interpersonal skills (Essential) Bilingualism in English and French (Preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr
