Job Description

Watson Goepel took over a successful, long-standing West Vancouver corporate commercial practice in 2020. The firm is looking for a candidate to contribute to the continued success and growth of this office.

The lawyers in the West Vancouver office work closely with the lawyers in the Vancouver office, and the position provides an excellent opportunity for someone who would like to practice in a smaller West Vancouver office while still having access to larger firm resources and clientele. The position is incredibly well-suited to a lawyer with roots in the North Shore who is looking for a home and a base in which to grow and develop their practice, and potentially become a partner.

Requirements

1. The ideal candidate will be a six-plus year of call who has previous experience in a general solicitor practice.
2. Experience with commercial transactions, commercial leasing, real estate, and general commercial work is an asset.
3. The candidate should have a track record and a commitment to client service, care about the work that they do for their clients, and be someone who will fit in and share the values of the firm.

Compensation & Salary

We offer a competitive remuneration. The annual salary range for candidates is expected to be between $155,000.00 and $180,000.00. Compensation is commensurate with years of experience. This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus.

In addition, we offer extended health and dental coverage, long-term disability insurance, employee and family assistance program, RRSP matching after 6 months of service, parking at our West Vancouver Office, a client development budget, continuing education opportunities, and participation in our firm's cell phone plan.
