Our Challenge
Our client is seeking a Sharepoint Migration and Power Platform Specialist to lead the development and migration of SharePoint to SharePoint Online within a strategic modernization initiative. The role focuses on designing scalable, cost-effective solutions that enhance collaboration, system sustainability, and align with organizational and IT policies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable SharePoint Online solutions leveraging Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into functional, user-friendly applications.
- Integrate Power Apps with SharePoint Online, Dataverse, and other data sources.
- Design intuitive user interfaces and workflows to improve user engagement and efficiency.
- Implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes within Power Platform pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies, standards, and security protocols.
- Analyze and convert legacy applications, including InfoPath forms, SharePoint workflows, Nintex forms, and custom scripts, to modern solutions.
- Produce detailed architectural documentation and best practice guidelines.
- Provide technical training and guidance to end-users and internal teams.
Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience designing and implementing Microsoft Power Platform products and services in cloud or on-premises environments.
- Proven experience executing application migrations across environments, data centers, or to cloud platforms (minimum 4 years).
- At least 2 years of experience preparing and documenting user acceptance testing materials.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for forms, workflows, and custom configurations (minimum 4 years).
- Hands-on experience with complex SharePoint projects, including managed metadata, workflows, forms, and UI customizations (minimum 4 years).
- Experience developing technical specifications for integrated enterprise content management solutions (minimum 2 years).
- Nice to have: experience upgrading SharePoint environments (e.g., 2013 to 2016, 2016 to Online) and supporting ShareGate (minimum 2 years).
- Familiarity with the Government of Alberta’s IT policies, standards, and guidelines (minimum 1 year).
- Practical experience with SharePoint Central Administration (minimum 2 years).
