Accounts Payable Specialist

We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Payable professional who can take ownership of a fast-paced, multi-entity AP function. This is not an entry-level role — we’re looking for someone with 5–10 years of hands‑on AP experience who thrives on independence, accuracy, and efficiency.
You’ll manage AP across multiple business units, handle high-volume invoice processing, job costing, employee expenses, and support a range of accounting functions. The right candidate will be self-sufficient, confident in running their own processes, and capable of juggling priorities without missing a beat.

- Full-cycle Accounts Payable – process, verify, and code invoices across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with approval processes.
- Vendor Relations – maintain strong communication with vendors, reconcile statements, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Job Costing Support – post invoices and allocate costs to jobs accurately to maintain project financial integrity.
- Expense Processing – review and process employee expenses with attention to company policy and proper documentation.
- Cross‑Functional Support – assist with other accounting activities such as month‑end reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation as required.
- Continuous Improvement – proactively identify and implement ways to improve efficiency and strengthen controls within the AP function.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–10 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience, preferably in a multi‑entity or high‑volume environment.
- Proven ability to manage AP independently and take ownership of timelines, accuracy, and follow‑up.
- Solid understanding of job costing and expense management processes.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting.
- Proficiency with Excel and experience with ERP or accounting software systems.
- A dependable, detail‑oriented professional who can prioritize competing tasks with accuracy and accountability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments and vendors.
