Occupational TherapistRequired for St. Paul EducationSt. Paul Education invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide effective support services to students in our schools by working collaboratively with SPERD students, families, administration, educational staff, and external agencies. Reporting to the Director of Inclusive Education, the OT will support and promote the success of all students as part of multidisciplinary teams across the school division. This is a full-time 10-month continuous position with an annual salary, comprehensive benefit plan (including a health & wellness spending account), and pension through the Local Authorities Pension Plan.Preference will be given to applicants who possess:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).Advanced communication and collaboration skills.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.Strong written and oral communication skills.Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency in computers.Valid driver's license.Duties of the Occupational Therapist will include:Provide universal, targeted, and individualized supports and services in division schools.Collaborate with other members of the inclusive education team at each school to ensure a cohesive approach to education.Providing assessment, intervention plan support, and coaching to parents, teachers, and support staff.Administer, score, and interpret standardized assessments.Contribute to the development of student IPPs and program planning.Facilitate professional development for parents, teachers, and educational assistants.For more information, contact Ms. Sha-Lyn Tichkowsky, Director of Inclusive Education and Early Learning, at 780-645-3323, or by email, .Qualified persons wishing to be considered for this position are invited to complete an online portfolio at .
