Yard Truck Driver

Overview

GoodHeart Brand is looking for a reliable and positive CDL Class A Yard Truck Driver for our Warehouse Team.

Responsibilities

- Shuttle trailers from the yards to the loading/unloading docks and vice versa.
- Occasionally make trips to off-site warehouse and/or refueling when necessary.
- Ensure all trailers that put in the dock are properly locked.
- Observes and direct outside drivers to the appropriate locations.
- Complete trailer sanitation before reloading and conduct preoperational checklist/inspection.
- Operate forklift or pallet jack as needed.

Requirements

- Current/Active CDL Class A. Required with a clean driving record.
- DOT general knowledge regarding the safe operation of semi-trucks and trailers.
- Can lift at least 50 lb.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced, hot and cold environment.
- Able to stand, stoop, bend and lift for long durations of time.
- Ability to clear a background check, and drug screen.
- Minimum of 18 years old or over.
- Ability to operate a stand-up forklift and electric pallet jack, preferred.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Operate production stations sort and stack finished products on any line
- Communicate any problem or changes in production or quality to supervisor or lead personnel
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP/'s) for line equipment and complete cleaning as needed
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/'s) while in all production areas
- Responsible for checking the quality of products placed on the line
- Assure production runs efficiently and safely
- Assist with documenting and reporting production logs
- Ensure all proper quality procedures are followed
- Clean machine, wipe conveyor belt and other daily and weekly clean up responsibilities
- Participate in continuous improvement process

Education and Experience

- Food industry experience is a plus
- Availability to work flexible hours as required
- Must be able to work in a facility that handles allergens

Skills and Abilities

- Must be able to communicate in English or Spanish, or follow instructions with the assistance of a translator.
- Team player with a positive, helpful attitude.
- Must be able to comply with GMP, Food Safety, and Company policies.
- Able to stand, stoop, bend and lift for long durations of time.
- Ability to clear a background check and drug screen.
- Minimum of 18 years old or over.
- Have a positive attitude and great attendance.

Working Environment and Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.
