Your role as Mechanical Engineer

As part of a growing design team, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing various components of Oneka’s unique desalination systems. This includes structural, hydraulic, and mechanical design under the supervision of engineers. In addition, they will support the assembly of the systems they have worked on, enabling rapid feedback on design choices.

More specifically, here are your key responsibilities as Mechanical Engineer

- Design product components for commercialization;
Create drawings of parts and assemblies;
Determine dimensional and geometric tolerances for assembly parts;
Be involved in the assembly, manufacturing, and testing of new parts and systems (hands-on).

You’re our next Mechanical Engineer if you have :

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant discipline.
Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years
Technical skills:

- Extensive experience and a keen interest in working with CAD (3D modeling and related technical drawings);

Personal skills:

- Desire to have a lasting impact on the future of the planet;
- Rigorous and experienced in managing revisions;
- A good dose of commitment, empathy, and creativity.

Assets:

- Fluency in English (as we operate in a bilingual environment) and/or Spanish;
- Excellent conceptual skills;
