Overview

Emil Anderson Maintenance (EAM) is the Ministry of Transportation and Transit’s road and bridge maintenance contractor for Service Area 7 (Fraser Valley), Service Area 20 (Robson) and Service Area 26 (Skeena).

Emil Anderson Maintenance | Robson is seeking applications for winter highway maintenance workers / labourers. Area 20 includes Blue River, Valemount, Tête Jaune Cache, and McBride. This is a seasonal, full-time position consisting of manual labour and operating plow trucks. Multiple positions available.

Responsibilities

- Operate in accordance to and uphold Emil Anderson Group (EAG) Core Values in all aspects of your work.

- Uphold an unwavering commitment to developing a zero-injury culture.

- Removal of snow and ice by safely using snow removal and/or sanding equipment.

- Completion of pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

- Changing snowplow blades.

- Patching potholes and jackhammering.

- Doing maintenance and minor service works on vehicles.

- Digging out plugged drains, maintaining shrubbery, and picking up litter.

- Any other duties as required.

Qualifications

- Working safely is a condition of employment.

- Minimum class 3 with air brake endorsement.

- Previous snow plowing and heavy equipment experience is an asset.

- Willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

- Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 is an asset.

- OT work required in the event of a snowstorm.

- Clean drivers abstract and valid Canadian driver's license required.

- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.

- Acknowledge this position can be labour intensive.

- Willing to work outside in all weather conditions.

- Provide current ICBC “N” drivers abstract along with resume.

Compensation

Union Wage starting at $34.17 and Benefits.
