**Winter Highway Maintenance Worker**

Emil Anderson Maintenance (EAM) is the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure’s road and bridge maintenance contractor for Service Area 7 (Fraser Valley), Service Area 20 (Robson) and Service Area 26 (Skeena).

**Responsibilities**:

- Removal of snow and ice by safely using snow removal and/or sanding equipment
- Completion of pre-trip and post trip inspections
- Changing snowplow blades
- Patching potholes and jackhammering
- Doing maintenance and minor service works on vehicles
- Digging out plugged drains, maintaining shrubbery, and picking up litter
- Any other duties as required

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience**:

- Minimum class 3 with air brake endorsement
- Previous snow plowing experience is preferred
- Willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Clean drivers abstract
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
- Working safely is a condition of employment.
- Acknowledge this position can be labour intensive
- Willing to work outside in all weather conditions

Qualified applicants are required to provide current ICBC “N” drivers abstract along with their resume.

Successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment drug screening.
