We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will oversee essential accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger. Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning.
• Monitor compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Conduct variance analyses to identify and explain differences between actual and expected results.
• Collaborate with auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and adjustments.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all accounting activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
