We are looking for a full-time Contracts Administrator to manage the accurate and compliant administration of contracts and agreements, working with internal teams, municipalities, contractors, builder customers, and legal counsel to ensure obligations and regulatory requirements are met. About the Role Manage the full lifecycle of development-related agreements, including subdivision, development, construction, and builder contracts, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Real Estate, Planning, Engineering, Construction) to ensure contractual obligations are understood and met. Work with external legal counsel to draft, review, and finalize agreements, including joint ventures and unique contractual relationships. Support joint venture administration, including meeting facilitation, tracking actions, and assisting with new relationship pursuits. Identify, escalation, and help resolve contract-related issues with internal teams, external partners, municipalities, and contractors, balancing risk and customer satisfaction. Monitor municipal, provincial, and federal regulatory changes impacting development activities and coordinate responses with internal teams. Assist leadership with process improvements, strategic projects, and financial elements of contracts, including security and claims management. Experience - Post-secondary education in Law Clerk Studies, or Paralegal, is preferred, but Business, Engineering, or Finance from an accredited Community College or University with relevant experience will be considered. - 5+ years of experience in contract administration, preferably in real estate, land development, or municipal sectors. - Familiarity with real estate agreements, land development processes, legal documentation, and municipal regulatory frameworks is required. Knowledge of the Planning Act and other development-related legislation, including building codes and the Conservation Act, would be a bonus. - Ability to work across multiple teams to assess compliance against standards and obligations. - Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Able to articulate legal concepts clearly and concisely - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, document management systems, DocuWare, DocuSign, NetSuite or other financial systems, and Monday.com or other collaboration suites. - Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to assess risk and recommend a path forward for projects.
