Human Resources Supervisor
The Human Resources Supervisor reports directly to the Manager of Human Resources. The Supervisor is a newly created position that will provide overall support to the Human Resources function located in Brockville.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville is comprised of ten member municipalities and has a population of 99,306. Key Competencies:

1. An experienced management leader with a generalist background and a genuine understanding of, and commitment to, the clients being served, respectful, open to others, able to access support and guide the development of staff skills and knowledge, who demonstrates a coaching/mentoring approach, and builds commitment to the United Counties mission and values.
2. A demonstrated ability to manage unanticipated events when they occur responding in a thoughtful, disciplined, collaborative, and proactive manner.
3. An operational knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.).
4. Demonstrated management skills, including problem solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution in a unionized environment.
5. High level of integrity, sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills. Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills. A succinct and accurate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

1. A College or University Degree in Human Resources or Business with a focus on labour relations, supplemented by advanced human resources management experience in municipal or long-term care an asset.
2. Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader (CHRP/CHRL) designation and formal project management training considered an asset.
3. Minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience.
4. Capacity to create an environment conducive to the well-being of all employees.
