Duties and Responsibilities

This role requires previous Human Resources experience. As a HR Generalist at Southland Trailers you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources department. You will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including but not limited to:

- Assist in the recruitment and selection process
- Provide support for internal transfers
- Develop and implement effective onboarding and orientation for new hires
- Be the main point of contact for Team Member relations matters, providing guidance and support to Team Members and Coaches on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Provide support for the Performance Management process
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation
- Support in the offboarding process as needed
- Assist with some payroll functions
- Develop and implement initiatives to foster Team Member engagement, including organizing team building events, recognition programs, and team member surveys
- Be the liaison with Training and Development
- Support HR Manager as needed
- Any Ad Hoc duties assigned by management

Required Skills & Experience

- Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources Management or related program is considered an asset
- 1-3 years experience in a Human Resources Role
- CPHR Designation preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication skills with a people-centered personality
- Strong understanding of relevant labor laws, regulations, and practices
- Fluent on Office 365 and able to work on other software/website platforms
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
