The successful candidate will help creatively communicate Fortinet's security solution offerings to customers by creating a high quality Virtual Reality environment to showcase Fortinet's products and solutions.

We are looking for a talented VR Developer who has strong Unity skills and a general understanding of Blender. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize immersive VR experiences exclusively for Meta Quest 3, leveraging its unique features to create high-quality applications. Job Responsibilities:

- Create optimized 3D models and assets for immersive VR experiences
- Design, develop, and deploy VR experiences tailored for Meta Quest 3 using Unity
- Work with textures, lighting, and shaders for a realistic experience
- Optimize performance for standalone VR development, ensuring smooth framerates and minimal latency
- Collaborate with artists and designers to integrate assets created in Blender into Unity environments
- Leverage the Meta Quest 3's specific features, including hand tracking, pass-through AR, and performance capabilities

We are looking for:

- Proven experience developing VR applications in Unity (C# proficiency is required)
- Familiarity with Meta Quest SDKs and standalone VR development best practices
- General understanding of Blender for basic asset editing and optimization for Unity
- Knowledge of optimization techniques for standalone VR (rendering, memory management, and performance tuning)
- Experience deploying and debugging applications directly on the Meta Quest platform
- Familiarity with hand tracking and pass-through AR in the Quest 3
- Experience creating shaders and visual effects optimized for Quest hardware
- Knowledge of Unity's XR Interaction Toolkit or OpenXR for Quest development
- Basic understanding of UX/UI principles for standalone VR
- Knowledge of multiplayer VR development on Quest
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, along with attention to detail
- Creative thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Good problem-solving skills
- Some knowledge of Networking and/or Cyber Security Products is a plus
- Some experience in editing tools such as Adobe Premiere is preferred

Portfolio of work sample of previous projects is required.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $88,703 - $147,767 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
