Automotive Technician

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience. You hold a valid and current Certificate of Qualification in the province of Ontario.

We are looking for automotive technicians who can work independently as well as collaboratively with peers. Our full-service facility offers an environment of success and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, including:

- Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
- Tire repair and replacement
- Car heating and air conditioning systems
- Steering and suspension systems
- Belt and hose replacements
- Radiator and engine cooling system repairs
- Batteries, starting, and charging system repairs
- Brake repairs
- Muffler and exhaust system services
- Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

- Ability to repair vehicles independently and work well in a team environment
- Proven high personal productivity
- Knowledge of safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
- Experience with shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
- Provincial Certificate of Qualification
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools and equipment (diagnostic scanner/tools preferred)
- Ability to service both import and domestic vehicles

Salary

Salary is commensurate with experience.
