CSU Water Operator

One of our major clients is looking for CSU Operators to join their team on a 6-month contract in Kitimat (rotational work schedule).

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the company's work practices and processes to ensure safety of self, personnel, process plant, and environment

• Support cleaning, preservation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities

• Participate in the development of system and unit punch lists

• Perform system and unit walk downs to ensure punch list items are addressed appropriately

• Assist in the issue and follow-up of permits issued for CSU or defect correction activities

• Develop and carry out isolation plans for boundary isolations between operating units and units still under the control of the commissioning and/or construction team

• Use extensive knowledge of SIMOPS to advise the SIMOPS Coordinator on management of work between operating and non-operating blocks, units, and systems

• Assist the Production Team Lead (PTL) in planning field activities associated with pre-commissioning and commissioning/start-up

• Lead field tasks as assigned by PTL

• Coach and mentor local staff on elements related to CSU, Turnarounds, and common failure mechanisms

Skills & Requirements:

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada for anyone other than the current employer

• Must have 10+ years of CSU process operations experience

• Possess excellent communication and influencing skills

• Possess a strong commitment to working safely and adhering to safe work practices

• Possess the ability to adapt to change and be flexible with changing priorities/business needs

• Possess strong collaboration skills allowing you to build strong and positive relationships with team members with diverse skill sets and personalities

• Demonstrate proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions associated with process upsets

• Willingness and ability to train teammates and peers

Additional Preferred Experience:

We are looking for individuals with solid water treatment experience, including:

• Membrane treatment systems such as Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis

• Potable water treatment systems

• Wastewater treatment systems, including anaerobic and aerobic processes
