Position Description
This position has supervisory/lead or manager responsibility over a group of project controls personnel or functions as a technical specialist who develops advanced concepts. Individuals with supervisory/lead or manager responsibility provide technical direction over a group and may be responsible for employee performance appraisals.
Responsibilities
1. Provide support and guidance for site Project Controls and Scheduling personnel & assist with troubleshooting field project controls issues.
2. Support project proposals.
3. Participate and conduct internal/external monthly project reviews.
4. Initiate/develop project control baselines (estimate/schedule/cost) and provide training on project control tools for new hires.
5. Coordinate placement of field personnel.
6. Develop and maintain site specific project controls procedures as required.
Job Qualifications
1. Diploma or Degree in Finance, Project Management, Engineering or related area.
2. 8-10+ years of experience in project controls.
3. 4-6+ years of experience in a construction environment and/or Nuclear sector is preferred.
4. PMP Certificate an asset.
5. Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and exceptional management and organizational skills.
6. Effective verbal and written communication skills and must possess the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
7. Excellent knowledge of project controls functions and the ability to plan, organize, budget, and monitor progress.
8. Excellent working knowledge of PC-based applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); P6 and SAP.
