Software Development Project Manager

As we begin offering cloud solutions to clinics, hospitals, and operating theatres, we're looking for flexible and creative talent to join our team and modernize dental offices across Canada.
About the Role
The Software Development Project Manager leads the execution and delivery of dental software development projects, oversees production support and service provisioning, and ensures successful project execution within scope, timeline, and budget. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project schedules, optimize workflows, enforce compliance processes, and handle escalations for critical issues.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the Director of Products to align the product roadmap with project timelines.
2. Translate business needs into detailed project plans, defining scope, milestones, and resource requirements.
3. Develop and manage project schedules, mitigate risks, and resolve blockers for timely delivery.
4. Coordinate with development, QA, and operations teams to plan and track software releases.
5. Prioritize features, bugs, and technical debt to meet project objectives.
6. Communicate project status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
7. Ensure thorough documentation and communication throughout project lifecycles.
8. Oversee production support team for timely issue resolution and minimal downtime.
9. Handle product escalations and troubleshoot configuration and provisioning issues.
10. Establish and enforce incident response and escalation procedures.
11. Manage service provisioning team for efficient onboarding, system configuration, and customer support.
12. Monitor support metrics and KPIs, identifying trends and implementing improvements.
13. Manage team members' work logs, time-off requests, and resource allocation.
14. Ensure adherence to Agile best practices and assist in sprint planning and retrospectives.
15. Enforce ISO processes within the R&D team to maintain industry compliance.
16. Participate in internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
What You Bring
1. A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in software project management, ideally within healthcare/dental software or SaaS industries.
3. Proven expertise in project planning, scheduling, risk management, and execution.
4. Strong time management skills to work on multiple projects seamlessly.
5. Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Great attention to detail, self-motivation, and top-notch organizational skills.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and high interpersonal skills to thrive in a geographically and time-zone dispersed team.
8. Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar project and service management tools.
9. Bonus points for Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and/or Certified Project Manager (PMP) certifications.
