We are in search for a Software Developer who is enrolled in a Co-op Program looking for an 8-month co-op term starting in May, or a new grad looking for an 8-month contract, to help our Business Central team utilize AI for Binary Stream products.

Reporting to the Technical Product Manager, the Software Developer Co-op is responsible for R&D on artificial intelligence to see how we can utilize AI for Binary Stream products. This involves prototyping the approved concepts in order to identify and solve complex technical problems and carry out research in relevant areas, deliver solutions for Binary Stream, and help create products or services. The person would need to collaborate with multiple development teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Full lifecycle application development; Tailor software solutions, customizations and enhancements for customers using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/F&O.
- Participating in R&D of Artificial Intelligence, develop AI features relevant to Binary Stream products.
- Produces clean and efficient code based on requirement documents following Binary Stream guidelines and best practices.
- Creates technical documentation for reference and reporting.
- Conducts unit testing and debugging of new and existing systems.
- Troubleshoots level 1 tickets following Binary Stream ticket tracking and documentation guidelines.
- Demos the solutions to the other development team members (QA / Dev team).
- Conducts research & development on existing product features.
- Collaborates with the team and shares feedback, including what went well, and what we can improve.

Experience and Education

- Enrolled in the co-op program completing your Bachelors in Computer Science or Masters program in related studies ideally looking for your second co-op term or recently graduated.
- Working knowledge of ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) software is an asset.
- Experience with SQL Server, .NET, object oriented concepts (ie. JAVA, C#, etc.) and other MS tools.
- Working experience with technologies such as AI, Power BI and IoT.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud computing services (ie. Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform).

- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while handling interruptions as part of the routine.
- Continuous improvement philosophy with a strong ability to take initiative, suggest changes for process improvements and effectively communicate this to other team members and the Director or Manager.

Compensation

- Wage: $25 - $33 per hour.
