What will your typical day look like?
As an experienced Senior Consultant / Manager you will work in a collaborative team environment to analyze issues and address client challenges related to liquidity risk and capital management, Interest Rate Risk (IRR), LCR, NSFR reporting, Regulatory Capital and ICAAP Management, Treasury Operations, Asset Liability Management (ALM), Balance Sheet Management (BSM). Topics include OSFI guidance on Liquidity Adequacy Regulation (LAR), B6, B12, Basel III capital requirements, CAR, ICAAP (E-18) and corresponding provincial regulators (e.g., BCFSA, FSRA, AMF). You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert and Engagement Leader on risk/regulatory transformation projects, regulatory reporting (IRRBB, ICAAP, LCR, NSFR), and business-driven transformations of Treasury Operations, ALM and related areas. Internal Audit engagements or regulator-mandated assessments may be supported. Internal Audit experience and regulator-facing work are beneficial but not required.
You will hold a hybrid role, developing the local Canadian marketplace while delivering national and international projects for mid-sized and large Financial Institutions.
Experienced Senior Consultants and Managers contribute to the firm’s growth in various ways, including:
- Delivering projects independently under the guidance of an Engagement Senior Manager and Partner, while executing on technical areas and interacting with clients to provide advice.
- Developing own perspectives, white papers, and solutions to offer clients the best possible outcomes
- Managing and leading a small team of diverse professionals with ongoing coaching
- Cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships
- Deploying and developing current engagement methodologies
- Employing a structured project management approach to ensure client satisfaction and project profitability
- Developing expertise in a specialization and maintaining regulatory and industry awareness
- Participating in the development and delivery of training programs

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone with:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Financial Risk Management (Liquidity / Capital) related projects for Banks, Credit Unions, Investment Managers, either as a Consultant or as part of a Risk or Compliance team
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Business Engineering, Finance, Economics, Law or related field
- Experience in professional services or a client-based environment; functional experience in compliance and risk management
- Industry experience in Liquidity Risk, Market Risk, or Treasury (1st Line) within a Financial Institution is preferred
- Experience managing regulatory compliance, risk, regulatory reporting and project teams through all project phases
- Experience with systems and technologies supporting Risk and Regulatory Reporting
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with solid project management
- CFA or FRM designation is welcome but not required
- Ability to build and maintain client and colleague relationships
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel to client locations as required
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000 (Senior Consultant) or $101,000 - $169,000 (Manager). Individuals may be eligible for a bonus program. Deloitte’s total rewards package extends beyond base pay and includes a variety of wellness- and growth-focused programs.
