Senior Manager - Energy & Infrastructure Advisory As our ideal candidate, you are a strategic leader with 8 to 15 years of experience rooted in a strong technical background. You possess a deep‑seeded passion for energy transition and a proven track record in Energy Advisory Services, including energy efficiency, infrastructure advisory, district energy, and commercial negotiations. Our dynamic and diversely‑skilled team advises our clients in the successful delivery of our four primary business lines: procurement services, fairness advisory services, project delivery, including P3s and energy advisory. Since opening our doors in 2000 we have gained a reputation for innovation, responsiveness and quality work that is completed on‑time and without unnecessary drain on client resources. Overall As the Senior Manager – Energy Advisory Services, you will serve as a senior strategic advisor, guiding clients through the complexities of energy transition, infrastructure modernization, and decarbonization. With 8 to 15 years of experience and a strong engineering background, you possess the professional maturity to navigate both the technical and commercial dimensions of energy and infrastructure projects. You are a self‑starter who excels at translating high‑level sustainability goals into actionable procurement strategies and investment‑grade business cases. The role includes travel requirements and candidates should be located in the Toronto, Ottawa, or Montreal areas. Responsibilities Strategic Advisory: Lead the development of high‑level energy efficiency and decarbonization planning and strategy for diverse client portfolios. Project Development and Procurement: Advise on optimal project delivery models (P3s, performance contracting, energy service agreements) for major energy infrastructure projects and support the overall procurement process, from contract and RFP development to contract negotiation. Commercial Risk & Financial Oversight: Validate energy projects through life‑cycle cost analysis, risk allocation, and the verification of performance guarantees. Technical Stewardship: Act as the owner’s representative, defining high‑level technical requirements and ensuring all project outcomes align with client sustainability goals. Executive Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary consultant for client leadership, translating complex technical and financial data into actionable executive insights. This role includes developing and maintaining trusted relationships with new and existing clients. Multidisciplinary Oversight: Direct project teams and sub‑consultants to ensure integrated, high‑quality delivery that meets budget and performance mandates. Practice Growth: In collaboration with the Director – Energy and Technical Services, help to drive business development and support the creation of winning, commercially‑focused proposals to expand the advisory service line. Requirements Experience in energy advisory and/or project delivery advisory; Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field; 8‑15 years of experience in consulting, and energy‑focused engineering; Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada with eligibility for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng.) considered an asset; Additional professional accreditations such as CEM, CMVP, LEED AP, etc. would be an asset; Familiarity with alternative delivery models (DB, PDB, P3s, performance contracting, etc.); Familiarity in the analysis of energy efficiency measures; Detail‑oriented, organized, hardworking, with a team player attitude; Strong technical, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities; Performs well under pressure to meet deadlines; Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; Valid driver’s license and be able to travel and/or drive to job sites within Canada; Ability to obtain federal government and other security clearances rapidly is a must; Strong proficiency and command in the use of Excel and MS Word platforms; and Proficiency in French would be an asset. Compensation The expected base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $165,000 and may be eligible for performance bonuses. The base salary will be determined by the individual’s experience, competencies and other qualifications. Position Status This posting represents a current vacancy.
