As a Ski lift Installer, you will be working in the mountains at ski resorts in Eastern Canada Region (Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes). You will be involved in all stages of ski lift installation (excavation, land surveying, formwork, foundation, concrete, assembly of mechanical parts, splicing, adjustments, etc.). Daily, you will be required to maneuver equipment (trailer, telescopic forklift, regular forklift, ATV, etc.).
Your tasks
- Working in the mountains
- Assemble and adjust prefabricated metal, electrical and mechanical components
- Participate in excavation, formwork and pouring of concrete foundations
- Maneuver, move and align components using lifting and transport equipment (boom truck, crane, forklift, etc.)
- Splice and install cables
Your profile
- Degree deemed relevant AND a few years' experience in a similar position OR several years' experience in a similar position
- General health and safety course (ASP Construction card)
- Advanced spoken and written French
- Intermediate spoken and written English (an asset)
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license
- Valid and unrestricted passport
- Knowledge of the metric system
- Ability to read and interpret plans, sketches, and schematics to determine assembly procedures
- Know how to assemble simple and complex parts
- Ability to work and live with a team for extended periods of time
- Detail oriented
- Be physically fit to perform a variety of manual tasks and ability in handling various tools
- Be physically fit to lift loads of up to 35kg
- An interest in working at heights on occasion
- An interest in working outdoors
- An interest in traveling for several weeks at a time
- An interest in working sometimes 10 hours and 6 days a week
- Ability to live in a commune, sometimes for extended periods of time
- Willingness to make short business trips to North America on very rare occasions.
- Willingness to make short business trips internationally on rare occasions (an asset)
