Job Summary

If you have experience working in startups, are an outcome-oriented 'doer' who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and doing what needs to get done, and have a natural affinity for connecting with people, we want to speak with you.
As an HR Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to the Senior HR Manager, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and ensure the smooth execution of HR processes.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain employee records in the HRIS system (Rippling), and ensure compliance with employment standards and company policies
2. Support recruitment efforts by coordinating the interview process for teams across the company, conducting phone screens for prospective candidates when necessary
3. Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including pre-hire employee communication for global employees
4. Address routine employee concerns and inquiries, escalating more complex employee relations cases to the Senior HR Manager
5. Assist in the development and communication of HR policies and procedures
6. Oversee office day bookings, coordinate employee events and engagement activities to foster a positive work environment
7. Provide administrative support as needed
Qualifications
1. Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
2. 1-2 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in onboarding and recruiting
3. Experience working in a startup environment - preferably in the tech, social media, or entertainment industries
4. Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
5. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing start-up environment
6. High attention to detail, organized, problem-solver, critical thinker and multi-tasker
7. Comfortable working through ambiguity and suggesting solutions
8. Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team environment
9. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
10. Proficient with G-Suite or related software, Rippling or multiple HRIS & ATS experience is a plus
Pay Scale
1. $50,000 - $60,000 CAD per year
