If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you We are currently looking for a Quality Control Analyst - AML to support our client.

Candidates will be working remotely, 5 days per week; however, may be required to work onsite on occasion to meet client needs. Overtime may be required. In this role, you will work full-time hours on a 3-month assignment, earning a rate competitive within the industry.

Responsibilities

1. Perform a quality check on a broad range of money laundering investigations.
2. Evaluate ML/TF risk by conducting quality checks on cases/alerts as part of the controls of the client's AML and ATF program.
3. Perform client due diligence/high-risk reviews.
4. Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
5. Evaluate potentially suspicious account activity. Recognize and evaluate accounts and activity and effectively document recommendations regarding account retention and/or regulatory reporting obligations.
6. Provide trend analysis of AML/ATF findings and gaps to the Management for review.
7. Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
8. Manage ambiguity and apply judgment to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve ongoing business and operational issues.
9. Assist the QC function with developing/drafting and maintaining written policies, procedures, and/or programs/frameworks to minimize compliance breaches and monitor adherence to applicable regulations/requirements.
10. Prioritize and manage workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity.
11. Serve as a subject matter expert in a quality control function and serve as knowledge and process expert to others.
12. Effectively work independently with minimal supervision within a team environment to complete a common goal and prioritize daily workload to meet department objectives.

Qualifications

1. Transaction monitoring/investigative experience is required.
2. Prior QC experience is required.
3. Proficient with FINTRAC guidelines.
4. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
6. Attention to detail.
7. 3+ years in relevant AML or financial crime-related roles required.
8. Knowledge of FINTRAC guidelines, PCMLTFA/R, and FATF recommendations.
9. Experience in QC'ing Suspicious Transaction Reports or/and other regulatory reports is required.
10. Experience in performing client due diligence/high-risk reviews.
11. CAMS certification is an asset.
12. CFCS certification is an asset.
13. Experience working with Refinitiv/Lexus Nexus/Dow Jones, and Actimize technology solutions is an asset.
