bAdjuster Level III, Property Claims
The Adjuster III, Property Claims, is responsible for the independent management of moderate to moderately complex property damage claims from first notice of loss through resolution. This role handles a diverse portfolio including residential, farm, and small commercial losses that may involve structural impacts or multiple parties. The Adjuster III applies advanced technical knowledge to ensure accurate coverage interpretation, defensible decision-making, and timely resolution. The role supports the Senior Inside Adjuster and contributes to technical consistency and quality within the Property Claims unit.
What you'll do...
- Independently manage moderate-to-complex property claims across residential, farm, and small commercial portfolios.
- Investigate cause of loss, assess coverage, and negotiate fair and timely settlements.
- Collaborate with Independent Adjusters, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure accuracy and efficiency in file resolution.
- Conduct virtual inspections and analyze reports to support defensible decision-making.
- Support team quality initiatives and participate in calibration sessions to strengthen technical consistency.
- Assist during catastrophe (CAT) events by triaging and managing surge claims.
What you'll bring...
- 3–5 years of property claims adjusting experience, including exposure to moderate or complex losses.
- Post‑secondary education in Insurance, Business, or a related field.
- Working toward or completion of Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with ability to interpret policy wordings and evaluate estimates.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Proficiency with claims management software (Guidewire); Xactimate experience considered an asset.
