Responsibilities
- Perform all duties of a Pipeline Technician 2.
- Drive, operate and maintain all mobile equipment used in Transmission operations work.
- May be required to operate hydraulic pipe benders.
Requirements
- All the qualifications required of a Pipeline Technician 2, plus the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Pipeline Technician – Equipment Operator.
- Demonstrated ability to proficiently operate & maintain all mobile equipment in Transmission operations work including but not limited to Backhoes, Excavators, truck mounted cranes, forklifts, side booms.
- Valid certificates for all applicable equipment in accordance with WorkSafe BC requirements.
- Class 1 drivers’ license with air endorsement is required.
- Demonstrated safe work habits and adherence to safety regulations and practices on a sustained basis.
- Safe driving record and be able to pass Company driving tests if required.
- Mechanical aptitude, initiative and sense of responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- This role has standby and on-call requirements based on operational needs.
- This role has extensive overtime requirements based on operational needs
- This role has extensive travel/out of town requirements based on operational needs
- The successful candidate must adhere to the residency requirements of this position
- This position has a requirement to be clean-shaven as per WCB standards.
