Position:
Located in Vancouver, the Mackenzie Betterworld team believes that companies with sustainable business models and attractive fundamentals outperform over a market cycle. Our objective is to deliver investors the expected outcomes of core exposure, alpha generation and purpose.
We are hiring an investment analyst to join our team. This role reports to the SVP, Lead Portfolio Manager, Mackenzie Betterworld.
Key responsibilities:
1. Adhere to a disciplined and integrated investment process that seamlessly incorporates ESG analysis with fundamental equity analysis
2. Conduct research across equity sectors to contribute well formulated investment recommendations to optimize portfolio performance and manage risk
3. Lead stewardship initiatives on your company coverage aligned with the team's strategic engagement priorities
The ideal candidate will have:
1. 4-7 years of relevant experience
2. CFA designation
3. A passion for integrating sustainable investing across the investment process
4. Well-developed communication skills to successfully collaborate within a small, high-performance team
5. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
6. Proven ability to develop, articulate and present a comprehensive investment recommendation culminating in a detailed investment thesis
7. A willingness to apply your research toolkit across sectors and geographies
