Position Summary

We are seeking an Analyst to join the Investments team in Vancouver. The Investments team is responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, asset and portfolio management, leasing, and financing of industrial, office, and residential income properties. In this position, you will actively participate in asset management and be involved in the analysis and execution of real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite potential real estate acquisitions, dispositions, partnerships, and debt structures.
  • Organize and facilitate due diligence and closing activities for acquisitions, dispositions, and financings, including interfacing with external advisors, stakeholders, and various internal departments.
  • Undertake asset management analysis, including hold-sell analysis, return calculations, lease analysis, evaluation of capital decisions, drafting, and execution of business plans.
  • Prepare investment reports and presentation materials.
  • Support and contribute to investment committee and senior management discussions.
  • Monitor industry trends and market activity, and assess potential impacts on the real estate portfolio.
  • Other relevant duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in real estate investments, asset management, or valuation.
  • Hold a relevant undergraduate degree, preferably in real estate, finance, accounting, or economics.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; detail-oriented and technical competence in building and handling complex financial models and data sets.
  • Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals, valuations, and investment return calculations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Must have advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with ARGUS Enterprise is considered an asset.
  • Must be proactive and self-motivated; ability to work independently with minimal direction.
