Recruiter (6-month Contract with Benefits)

We are actively seeking a Recruiter (6-month Contract with Benefits) to support USW recruitment for our Cambridge, ON manufacturing facility.

As a subject matter expert in Recruitment, the incumbent is responsible for leading the full recruitment process including partnering with hiring managers, sourcing and short-listing candidates through to candidate offer stage.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Develop and maintain relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders to provide expertise and consultation to help select top candidates while ensuring compliance with company policies, recruitment procedures and employment laws.
- Manage the candidate experience by leading all aspects of the recruitment process.
- Lead full recruitment process beginning with requisition initiation, job posting, sourcing, screening, shortlist of qualified candidates through to candidate offer stage.
- Participate in Job Fairs at colleges/universities and at other community events related to recruiting.
- Report out on recruiting metrics including time-to-hire.
- Review and analyze applications for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements and organizational fit.
- Coach and advise hiring managers and employees regarding recruitment processes and related policies and procedures.
- Ensure all staffing efforts are in compliance with BWXT company policies and data privacy regulations.
- Support hiring plans and corporate hiring initiatives with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

- Related post-secondary degree/diploma along with 5-7 years' experience in talent acquisition or human resources environment.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment/talent acquisition practices including use of various social media platforms.
- Proven experience in development of talent pipelines and sourcing candidates. Able to effectively source candidates and pivot approach to ensure a strong candidate pipeline.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- High attention to detail both with people and processes.
- Effective communicator. Able to adapt to different personalities and situations.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems - specifically Success Factors, is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Can effectively work with a variety of cross functional teams.
- Ability to manage confidential information as well as demonstrate sound judgement and decision making.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $71,000 and $106,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
