We are looking for a Product Security Engineer II to join our Product Security team located in Burnaby, BC, reporting to the manager of Product Security Engineering. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the security and compliance of our products and systems, with a specific focus on Cloud Security and Workload Protection. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify security gaps, develop robust security controls, and implement industry-leading practices.
You are the ideal candidate if you are an excellent collaborator who enjoys identifying gaps and designing and implementing corrective measures.
What you’ll do:
1. Develop and implement effective security controls in a multi-cloud environment, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, to safeguard our globally dispersed SaaS products.
2. Own and manage a key security tool, such as EDR, SIEM, CSPM, or CNAPP, and ensure optimum coverage and health of the security capability.
3. Conduct threat models using frameworks like STRIDE, PASTA, or Attack Trees against cloud architecture and advise Engineering teams on how to mitigate identified threats.
4. Perform continuous security assessments against Infoblox cloud and Kubernetes microservice infrastructure.
5. Design, implement, and maintain security automation solutions with scripts/code to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
6. Respond to security incidents and events impacting Infoblox products.
7. Serve as a security ambassador within Infoblox by collaborating with other groups within the organization.
8. Work with technologies including Kubernetes, Containers, AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI, SAST, DAST, SIEM, EDR, CWPP, Serverless Functions, CSPM, CNAPP, WAF, etc.
What you’ll bring:
1. 5+ years of security engineering experience.
2. Experience identifying and responding to security incidents.
3. Hands-on experience with security tooling and working experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
4. Passion to learn new technologies and persistence to overcome technical challenges and ambiguity.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with and present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Experience enabling Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) is highly desirable.
7. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
8. Relevant industry certifications, such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, OSCP, and/or CISM, are desirable.
What success looks like:
After six months, you will…
1. Understand the scope of products and services that require security controls.
2. Understand the tooling that you will be responsible for.
3. Know who the key stakeholders are and start building relationships with them.
4. Learn current processes and identify opportunities for automation.
5. Communicate potential security gaps to management for planning.
After about a year, you will…
1. Own and manage a security tool within Product Security Engineering.
2. Participate in security assessments.

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned is the base salary range for the role. The typical base salary range for this position is $96,000 - $141,570 plus corporate bonus.
