Azure Solutions Architect

At Invero, we help forward thinking companies to maximize the value of their investments in the Microsoft cloud. We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept Cloud Solution Architect specializing in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will bring not only exceptional technical skills but also the confidence and charisma to impress clients in every interaction. You will play a critical role in working with clients to design, deploy, and manage complex Azure-based solutions while showcasing your technical prowess and swagger in client conversations and presentations.

Responsibilities

Solution Design and Architecture

- Develop and design robust cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, aligning with client requirements and best practices such as the CAF and WAF
- Create comprehensive architecture diagrams and technical documentation to communicate design decisions clearly
- Provide technical leadership to help deliver existing and develop new service offerings, focusing on current and emerging Microsoft cloud technologies
- Responsible to lead proposal writing processes which includes understanding the customer requirements, contribute to preparing the solution – presenting capabilities, experience, solutioning and pricing, and authoring the response

Client Engagement and Presentations:

- Lead client meetings and presentations with authority and confidence, effectively communicating complex technical concepts in a compelling manner
- Serve as a trusted advisor, showcasing deep Azure expertise to instill confidence and trust in our solutions
- Attend client discovery calls to uncover requirements and new opportunities that you will then turn into proposals that Sales can present to the client
- Work with the Sales team to strategize about client technical needs and future opportunities to seek out

Deployment and Migration:

- Plan and oversee the execution the delivery of complex technical projects from lift and shift migrations to application modernization. Along the way, ensuring the team has the support and mentorship that they need to make your design the client’s reality
- Willingness to be a resource on projects as required to meet or exceed delivery expectations of the client, providing a solution that meets their requirements

Infrastructure Management:

- Implement automation scripts and infrastructure as code using Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bicep or ARM templates to enhance operational efficiency
- Creation and implementation of repeatable processes and playbooks for the delivery team to use

Security and Compliance:

- Design and implement robust and secure solutions, covering such areas including identity and access management, network security, and compliance with industry standards
- Ensure solutions adhere to regulatory requirements and organizational policies

Monitoring and Optimization:

- Set up and manage comprehensive monitoring solutions to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of Azure resources
- Perform regular performance tuning and optimization to maximize resource utilization

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity and data protection

Collaboration and Support:

- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide expert guidance
- Provide advanced support for Azure-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to services

Mentorship and relationships:

- Provide mentorship to the technical team and keep them engaged and excited about our projects and learning
- Build relationships with key clients and become their go to person to discuss technical challenges they are facing in their environments and provide roadmap guidance
- Help others think critically and educate non-technical audiences and stakeholders on complex technical solutions

Continuous Learning:

- Stay current with Azure technologies, tools, and best practices
- Evaluate and recommend new solutions and improvements to enhance our service offerings
- Use changes within Azure as talking points with clients and how those changes may work to their advantage
- Be an internal evangelist for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing of technical topics across the entire Invero team

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure
- 7-10 years of experience in systems administration
- Relevant Microsoft certifications and exams such as AZ-103 Azure Administrator, AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate, AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-400 DevOps Engineer Expert
- Proven experience as a Cloud Technical Architect or Cloud Solution Architect or similar roles, specializing in Microsoft Azure
- Experience with both cloud infrastructure and cloud native application development to provide architectural guidance to technical resources and the client
- Demonstrated experience working in a presales technical capacity to uncover requirements from a client and turn those into proposals
- Deep technical expertise in Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring
- Strong scripting skills and experience with Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bicep and ARM templates
- Experience with leveraging Infrastructure as Code techniques and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for automated deployment of resources
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to impress and inspire clients
- Ability to juggle many priorities at the same time across multiple clients and projects simultaneously
- Experience mentoring other technical team members and being a technical leader within a company that sets a high standard for everyone that you work with
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
- Be driven by a collaborative spirit and a commitment to contributing to the team’s success and the growth of Invero

You must be comfortable talking to people and have the ability to get in front of a client and talk knowledgeably about technical topics on many different topics. If you don’t know something, then you should be the type of person who will do some research and quickly mock something up in the lab to expand your knowledge so that you can confidently come back to the team with a tried and tested solution.

The role is a full time employee position with a base salary that will depend on experience, certifications and other qualifications. However, we are open to people applying who might be seeking a contract role as well.
