Job Title: GEN AI Lead/Solution Architect Location: Canada (REMOTE) Type: Contract Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect specializing in Generative AI platforms, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise automation. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, deployment, and optimization of AI-powered solutions leveraging Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and custom RAG architectures. This role requires hands-on expertise in Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, App Services, Terraform/Biceps, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise-grade integrations, along with deep knowledge of security, compliance, and operational readiness in enterprise environments. 1. Generative AI & Cognitive Solutions Architect, design, and deploy Azure OpenAI-powered solutions (GPT-4o, GPT-5, embeddings, RAG pipelines) for enterprise use cases. Develop rapid Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate business-submitted AI ideas and assess technical feasibility, scalability, and ROI before production rollout. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional AI solutions and provide data-driven recommendations. Develop solutions using Copilot Studio to build customized copilots integrated with Entra ID, Graph API, Dataverse, and business applications. Leverage Azure AI Foundry for prompt orchestration, vector indexing, knowledge grounding, and monitoring of AI-powered apps. Collaborate with business units to operationalize conversational AI bots, document intelligence pipelines, and AI-driven copilots across departments. 2. Cloud-Native Application Architecture Design, develop, and manage Azure Function Apps, App Services, and Durable Functions for serverless orchestration and workload automation. Build highly available, resilient, and scalable microservices deployed on AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service). 3. Infrastructure as Code & DevOps Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform and Bicep for consistent provisioning of AI and cloud infrastructure. Implement enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. Collaborate with security and network teams to manage Key Vaults, private endpoints, managed identities, and storage account firewalls. Enable automated monitoring, logging, and usage analytics via Azure Monitor, App Insights, and Log Analytics. 4. Platform Engineering & AI Integration Design and manage data ingestion pipelines from SharePoint, Cosmos DB, and external APIs into Azure AI Search for RAG-based AI bots. Implement pipelines for document intelligence, OCR/non-OCR processing, and enrichment leveraging Azure Document Intelligence. Integrate enterprise AI bots with Entra ID SSO, Copilot Studio and Power Platform. 5. Governance, Security & Compliance Work closely with Security & IAM teams to ensure compliance with data protection, PII handling, RBAC policies, and SOC controls. Lead key activities like domain onboarding, firewall modifications, key rotations and SSL certificate renewals. Define naming conventions, operational runbooks and risk mitigation plans. 6. Stakeholder Management & Leadership Act as a technology advisor to business stakeholders, architects for GenAI adoption strategies. Mentor development teams and review solutions for performance, scalability, and alignment with enterprise reference architecture. Present AI adoption insights, usage metrics, and value realization dashboards to senior leadership.
