Under the direction of the Assistant Manager of Learning Technologies, the Application Administrator will work closely with the Learning Technologies department staff to collaborate with all departments through the digital transformation and adoption of software solutions. Roles and responsibilities would include but not be limited to: Integrate new software systems, including planning, implementation and support and work with Departments and Schools to develop functional requirements for new software systems Work with external vendors and partners to review, test, and support software systems and implement improvements Design and deliver professional learning and training on software systems. Automate processes, create scripts for database administration, and batch processes Assist in the implementation of a comprehensive approach to building capacity to leverage the use of technology in schools and offices across the system Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to ensure effective integration of applications Develop and maintain detailed systems documentation, including digital user manuals and technical manuals Develop test plans to verify new or modified applications and monitor software applications Plan, coordinate, test, and communicate changes, upgrades/maintenance schedules, and new services with colleagues and clients Ensure appropriate system security measures are in place and provide support to perform security investigations for staff and students upon request Collaborate with developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and satisfaction and initiate strategies to resolve issues Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and business processes Supervise applications using metrics tools and data analysis to help review and determine the validity of ongoing support for software applications and renewals Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor Required Qualification and Skills: Diploma in a related / relevant field At least 3 years of related Information Technology experience Database management and coding experience Extensive experience managing and administering multi-tier enterprise applications Ability to multitask and work well under pressure Commitment to ensure integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data Excellent analytical and problem solving ability Effective communication and interpersonal skills Broad understanding of project management Ability to work independently and as part of a team A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a personal vehicle The following would be considered an asset: Certification in School Board Administration Coding experience with API's Previous school board experience This is a permanent full time (1.0 FTE) assignment with a start date as soon as possible. The annual salary range for this role is $92,779 - $100,637 . There is also a comprehensive benefits and pension plan available.
