Job Opportunity

We might have a job for you as a Punjabi teacher. One of our clients in Edmonton would like to have one‑to‑one conversational Punjabi classes. This student wishes to have classes at a public location near Whyte Ave in Edmonton, T8N 4Z3. She would like to have a 32‑hour course. Classes of two hours should be held once per week, on Saturdays from 11:00 am‑1:00 pm (preferred, but afternoon is okay too) or Sundays 11:00 am‑1:00 pm, and she wishes to start ASAP.

- Location: Public location near Whyte Ave
- Approximate address as reference: 20 Dufferin St, St. Albert, AB T8N 4Z3
- Current language level: Beginner
- Motivation: Her partner is Punjabi and she would like to be able to understand and communicate with his family and also sing at weddings and understand what she is singing. She only speaks English and has no experience speaking Punjabi, she only listens to music.
- Special requirements: Focus on listening and speaking
- Student's age group: 25‑34

Ideal teacher should

- Be a native Afrikaans speaker of the language OR hold a teaching degree
- Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
- Have a valid working visa
- Live up to 20 miles from the client’s location.

Additional details

The hourly rate is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. This is a freelance part‑time position and we are not able to sponsor your visa.
