We are a food manufacturer and distributor, and are currently looking for a energetic Production Development & Information Associate who looks forward to challenges and has a desire to learn and grow with our company .

Job Information:
Product Development & Information Associate

Terms of Employment:
Full-Time (Permanent)

Wage Range:

$21.00 – $23.00 per hour

Regular Work Hours:
Monday–Friday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Main Job Responsibilities:

– Create – Product recipes, samples, and related documents:

Research food trend
Calculate cost
Specification sheets
Packaging & labelling
Product HACCP plans, etc.

– Liaison – Between multiple departments for all aspects of Product Life Cycle

– Guide – Production trials & assist in corrective actions

– Communicate – with vendors, clients, and external partners professionally

– Improve – existing products & documentations

Product Quality Control – shelf-life testing, sensory analysis, etc.
Annual documentation reviews

– Be knowledgeable of applicable Regulations

– Be proactive on information accuracy

– Understand – company direction, business plans, facility capabilities, product history, etc.

– Prepare & participate – samples and documents for related meetings

– Maintain clean & organized work environment (digital folders, your own desk, test kitchen, storage, etc.)

Requirements:

– Completion of post-secondary education in a food manufacturing related field; OR relevant Work – Experience in Food industry (minimum 3 years)
– Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
– Understand confidentiality of proprietary information
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Digital Literacy
– Ability to lift 25lbs
– Knowledge of food preparations
– Knowledge of Japanese food is a plus
– Knowledge of HACCP is a plus
– B.C. FoodSafe Level 1; or an equivalent certificate is a plus
