**WellFort is seeking to hire a Full-time Permanent Manager of Finance**

The Manager of Finance will be responsible for leading and developing the Finance Team and will be responsible for the oversight and operations of all financial and reporting practices that contribute to WellFort meeting its mission and obligations to stakeholders. A focus on supporting people and processes, the Manager of Finance will provide empowering leadership to support a team to operate as a high functioning financial team and ensure the effective coordination and execution of all daily activities of the Finance Department to ensure the timely and accurate reporting and budget planning for the financial results of WellFort.

**What you will do**:
**Leadership** **and** **Performance Management**:

- Lead, guide, and support all direct reports of the Finance Team, through the encouragement of ongoing growth, learning, and development to ensure continuous alignment between team performance and financial organizational goals
- Attract, retain and develop direct reports; manage staff separations of employment as required
- Facilitate team-based initiatives and promote effective inter-professional functioning and operations
- Identify and create opportunities for necessary and impactful change within the financial department, and shift mindsets and behaviours as required to achieve necessary results for the organization
- Oversee and communicate on financial changes and upcoming financial deadlines to the organization
- Manage all financial escalations and provide effective resolutions and solutions with all organizational partners
- Provide and demonstrate empowering leadership to support a team to operate as a high functioning team
- Provide all onboard training and orientation to new financial staff/volunteers on finance-related topics, systems, and self-serve ADP options (in collaboration with the Human Resources team)
- Lead the establishment of program goals and objectives and set service priorities based on these goals to ensure accountability to Annual Business Plan for the portfolio and the organization
- Lead process improvement practices for all stakeholders in the organization to improve overall financial management and the development, improvement on existing financial processes and timelines
- Build and support a culture of accountability and a strong reinforcement of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion practices within the team and across the organization
- Train and develop staff on payables input and allocation to appropriate accounts
- Serve as a role model to others by demonstrating a respectful and positive attitude towards individuals receiving support from WellFort
- Promote and demonstrate the Vision, Mission and Values of the organization within the workplace and broader community
- Delegate tasks to team and ensure deadlines are met, while leading the development and implementation of KPIs and other performance measurables
- Set annual performance and professional development goals

**Organizational Responsibilities**:

- Establish department objectives, priorities and workplans which are aligned with WellFort’s organizational objectives, mission, vision and values
- Contribute in a positive way to the overall success of the finance department and organization
- Acts as liaison with external auditors, corporate lawyers, landlords, cleaners and other maintenance contractors
- Co-ordinate WellFort’s Risk Management process, actively contribute to the mission, vision, and values of WellFort
- Assist with policy creation for finance, occupational health & safety and other areas as may be required.
- Manage the Centre’s financial and capital assets and maintain awareness of and compliance with funder requirements, policies, procedures, and regulations
- Participate in agency quality improvement activities, e.g. Accreditation Projects, Information Systems Support, Audit, and Privacy and Security committees, special events, etc.
