Led by Dr. Paolo Mussone, Ovintiv Applied Research Chair in Energy, the Clean Technologies Team is an inclusive, diverse, highly multidisciplinary group of professionals and students with a broad range of industry and academic experience in environmental science, chemical engineering, applied chemistry, analytical chemistry, and industrial microbiology.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The Operations Manager’s primary purpose is to break down barriers to the success of the technical and service delivery team so that they may focus on the job of better serving clients.
- Directly responsible for coordinating and assisting centre staff and internal NAIT service providers with day-to-day management of the Centre including: project delivery (with centre technical staff), financial management (with Project Support Office), health and safety, strategic human-asset management & decision-making, funder-outcome reporting.
Build strong, result-oriented teams and support direct reports in solution delivery, professional growth and development.
- Secure and deploy resources effectively and efficiently.
- Know the most efficient and effective processes to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement
- Lead inter-centre and departmental coordination and facilitate intra-centre project-driven collaborations.
- Lead inter-centre process alignment for the Clean Technologies Team.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Principles of financial management in the public sector and in the unique and evolving context of business requirements and processes of a post-secondary.
- Effective listening to assure quality uptake of stakeholder ideas and positions.
- Effective meeting management to assure all voices are heard, agenda items are gathered and addressed.
- Conflict resolution to effectively address misunderstandings and disagreements.
- Coaching to guide skill development in supervised staff.
- Stress management to address and alleviate stress in others and in self.
- Experience in business development is an asset

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum**: Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in chemical engineering, environmental science, chemistry, analytical, chemistry, or polymer science

**Recommended**: Significant experience (10+), and/or formal post-secondary training in business/management, or project management

**Remuneration**: $85,321.86 - $13,040.98 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
