**Logistics Manager ON**

**RFT 315**

We are looking for a talented and qualified Logistics Manager to join our team. You will be working for VTech BC, but stationed at IFS warehouse ON. In this position, you will be responsible for all freight management duties including selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, assessing budgets, and organizing storage.

**Logistics Manager Responsibilities**:

- Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers
- Plan, monitor and schedule inbound and outbound deliveries
- Prepare shipping documents, track and trace shipments in transit.
- Ensure all products are loaded, labelled and shipped with order accuracy and are secured to prevent damage
- Respond to any issues or complaints
- Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers
- Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations
- Evaluate budgets and expenditures
- Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements
- Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements
- Keep track of delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Ensure all customer shipping requirements are met and that include but not limit to appointment booking, on-time delivery to customer locations, pallet requirements etc
- Investigate on shipment errors, damages and late deliveries with concerned departments, warehouse or shipping staff
- Follow up on customer dispute, penalties, damaged and lost goods, and negotiate with carriers on compensation
- Validate carrier charges for accuracy

**Logistics Manager Requirements**:

- In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry
- 5 - 10 years transportation/logistics operations and management experience
- Experience working with 3PL’s and customer provided logistics
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
