Deli Clerk/cook

Now Hiring for a full-time HOT DELI cook.

YOU WILL BE COOKING ROASTED CHICKEN, PORK, CHICKEN TENDERS, PEROGIES, WEDGES ETC. EXPERIENCE WORKING ON A FRYER ESSENTIAL. MUST BE ABLE TO COOK WITH CHICKEN AND PORK PRODUCTS.

Cooking experience **REQUIRED.**
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times
- Greet customers with a smile and answer their questions as required
- Proactively attend to customer complaints in a professional manner
- Maintain familiarity with the composition of all menu items
- Advise customers on food choices, making suggestions when necessary
- Take orders from customers and ensure these are given to the appropriate person to execute
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and tools are being used safely and according to provided direction
- Ensure food is handled, stored, and cooked according to health and safety standards, and that proper cleanup occurs to meet health regulations
- Clean agreed designated areas in accordance with laid-down procedures, morning or evening routines, and hygiene requirements
- Cooking/preparing food for hot deli customers
- Frying chicken and other products to safe temperatures

Job Requirements
- 1+ year Experience working in a similar environment
- Must be proficient in frying meat
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Ability to work individually - but also as part of a team

Work Conditions
- Extended periods of standing
- Must be able to lift +20lbs
