**Position Overview**:
As the Shipper/Receiver, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Stores area. Responsible to ensure adequate supplies and equipment/instrumentation are available for Clinic departments. Ensures that stock levels are maintained at appropriate levels and acts as a resource for internal customers related to product needs. Responsible for the receiving of goods and the shipping of items such as equipment for repair as well as return of supplies/equipment to vendors and or other facilities. Must maintain accurate receiving records in the computerized system.

**Experience**:

- One-year shipping, receiving and inventory control experience.
- Demonstrated experience with computerized Materials management system within the health care field required.

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- Completion of grade 12.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Ability to effectively read, write legibly and follow oral and written instructions including performance of standard operating procedures relative to the position.
- Must possess a good level of mathematical ability including accurate computation.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills required.
- Well organized.
- Demonstrated clerical ability and aptitude to effectively maintain records and reports related to the position.
- Familiarity with medical/surgical products and asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work under stressful working conditions and prioritize working responsibilities effectively and manage time efficiently.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Physical ability to withstand continuous extensive lifting, moving and bending, stretching and pushing.
- Good physical and mental health to meet position demands.
- Required to handle hazardous/dangerous goods in accordance with WHMIS and TDG regulations.
