Production Planner

Our Operations Department is looking for a Production Planner to plan, schedule, release and track the workflow of the Engineering Department and Operations floor. This position will be the focal point in creating a production schedule. The Production Planner creates, tracks, and reports on the current production status of released components and functions as a liaison between Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Shipping/Receiving departments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Schedule, track and manage the daily production workload, provide feedback to Engineering and Operations on in-house production hours, and provide regular reporting on production status
- Provide an in-depth audit on production requirements, operations capacity, schedule, and workforce size
- Monitor, analyze, and report performance to schedule of production activities utilizing information derived from material and production control systems
- Work with Operations Managers to sequence production, assembly, and installation
- Assist the Operations department to actively manage the production schedule
- Research and assign production times and due dates on parts as needed and document during the releasing process
- Coordinate with departments as needed to identify and resolve issues regarding budget and delivery
- Monitor quality, service, and delivery issues, and take corrective actions as needed
- Identify and resolve supplier and internal errors that result in budget or schedule discrepancies
- Provide continual improvement of the planning and reporting processes
- Participate in project milestone meetings

**Education & Experience**:

- BA or College Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or relevant field or minimum 2 years’ related work experience.

- Ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely fashion. This is a fast-paced quick turnaround environment

- Strong excel proficiency and data analysis/reporting experience a must
