Based out of our Ottawa (Kanata) location, we are looking for a Demand Planner. The individual will work closely with the Operations, Materials Management, Supply Chain and Sales teams to prepare and maintain a production plan. The plan will include demand change impacts; identification of inventory levels; and monitoring of internal impact statements.

This position is onsite.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create a rolling Master Production and Forecasting Plan
- Create and drive the S&OP process company wide
- Drive a monthly revenue budget and run risk meetings weekly
- Perform supply demand analysis each quarter, highlighting areas of concern for the next 12 months.
- Make delivery commitments on MTO products, which involve checking uncommitted material and availability of capacity.
- Develop inventory targets and manage production to achieve targeted inventory levels on both a cost and unit basis.
- Maintain finished goods inventory at target levels in ensure high service levels, i.e. product availability.
- Coordinate with plant managers to execute Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance to the requested production schedule.
- Review sales forecast with business manager on a monthly basis and suggest modifications consistent with knowledge of current or historical demand.

**Education & Experience**:

- BA or College Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or relevant field or minimum 2 years’ related work experience.

**Additional Qualifications**:

- Contribute to the development of process and procedural documents.
- Sharing in a team-based environment and provide knowledge transfer when required.
- Ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely fashion. This is a fast-paced quick turnaround environment
- Ability to listen and communicate with peers at all levels within the organization
- Health and Safety conscious
- Autonomous self-starter; can anticipate what needs to be done before being asked
- Knowledge of repair operations a strong asset
- Strong excel proficiency and data analysis/reporting experience a must
- Strong written and oral communication skills
