Specialist Ii, Quality

The purpose of the Specialist, Quality II is to continually identify the most urgent quality opportunities within the Winnipeg operations facility and work with management to resolve that problem, thus reducing warranty costs, scrap and rework to ensure the organization is more profitable.
**Organizational Relationship**
This position reports directly to the Supervisor, Quality.
**Accountabilities**
- Obtain and analyze quality data both within the Value Stream and customer facing.
- Identify problem areas and permanent solutions to those problem areas, including CAR's from the quality department.
- Create work instructions, procedures, policies and any other documents to control production processes within the Value Steam.
- Update and maintain all quality samples and quality boards/standards within the Value Stream.
- Teach/train quality standards and specialization to all management/associates within the Value Stream.
- Work on the floor with associates, running machinery and testing for new ways of manufacturing.
- Must adhere to all company and Health & Safety policies as indicated in the Associate Handbook and Standards of Business Conduct Handbook.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion.

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma.
- Minimum 2 years, experience in manufacturing, basic computer skills (MS Office), Quality Systems and lean manufacturing,
- Minimum 2 years, experience in manufacturing, preferable with wood working machinery.
- Engineering degree or CET very beneficial.
- KCQC, any 6 Sigma or any additional quality courses preferred.
