**Summary**

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Procurement Specialist will help develop and implement procurement strategies to support the business needs and demand. This position will create Material Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Requests for Quotations, Ensure System Accuracy, Negotiate Supplier Pricing, and Ensure material is delivered on-time.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Gain understanding of overall Manufacturing plans, New Product Development and Service needs.
- Clarify purchase needs through cross-functional meetings and discussions as needed
- Responsible for buying production materials, operating supplies, manufacturing equipment and services.
- Responsible for resolving shortages and issues with suppliers and products.
- Responsible for coordinating pre-production requirements to meet customer demands.
- Develop commodity strategies to improve the Supply Chain, by reducing risk, cost and lead-time
- Maintain vendor file, purchase price, price fluctuations and quality records on purchased items.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, and contracts for new programs, current programs, and transportation.
- Review sourcing options to select appropriate Supplier or participate in the on-boarding of new Suppliers as needed
- Assist in developing and negotiating Supplier Agreements
- Create Purchase Orders to support manufacturing schedules, MRP demand and manual Purchase Requisitions
- Create and monitor supplier KPI’s to ensure Supplier Performance (Cost, Delivery, Quality)
- Build effective business relationships and follow up with Suppliers as needed
- Ensure ERP system information is accurate (e.g., lead-times & delivery)
- Perform other duties as required.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- A strong team-player with experience working in cross-functional teams
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline (business, engineering, materials management, supply chain)
- Minimum of 2-5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in buying or supporting electronic products considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
- MRP/ERP experience required
- Intermediate level MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Industry certifications considered an asset (SCMP, CSCMP, CPIM, CSCP, etc.)

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Georgetown, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Work Location: One location
